Anyone who lives in or has driven through Florida knows how large and developed of a state it really is. I’ve lived here nearly all my life (for the exception of 4 years in New York City), yet there are so many cities and towns I’ve never been to. Since my sister and her husband are living in Jacksonville and my boyfriend is in Orlando, we decided to meet in between for a long, relaxing weekend together. Keep reading to see why Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast is the best for families.

Accommodations
We stayed in a spacious 3 bedroom/3 bathroom condo on the property, which allowed for us to comfortably relax and cook meals. There was also a balcony, which you can see views from in the image above and below! We enjoyed playing games and eating King Crab Legs and Dungeness Crab (with leftovers used for crab eggs benedicts the next morning!).

Where To Eat in Palm Coast
The crowd-favorite restaurant on property was Atlantic Grille. It’s an oceanfront “shore-to-table” restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a separate bar area and private dining room for special occasions. All of the food we ordered was delicious, for all meals. The service was professional, and the atmosphere/decor very nice but still comfortable.

Where To Drink at Hammock Beach
For a mid-afternoon cocktail, we went to the Lobby Bar, which also serves sushi. My favorite drink was the Elderflower Spritz with JP Chenet Blanc de Blanc, St. Germaine, Blackberry Liqueur, Raspberries – YUM!
For live music and a game of pool, we went to the on-site gastropub, Loggerheads. For those who are interested, they also have a cigar bar next door.

What To Do at Hammock Beach Resort
In addition to the beach, of course, the property had a lazy river and pool, championship golf course, miniature golf, lawn games, and a large spa and fitness center. Make sure to check their Events Calendar, too!

Overall, I think Hammock Beach Resort is a perfect place for a family vacation. The best part is you don’t need to leave the property at all! There’s plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy within steps of your room. I hope to return soon when it’s warmer outside to enjoy the pool and beach amenities. We happened to go during a very unusual cold front with temperature in the 40s, BRRR! Until next time, Palm Coast.
