About

I am, and always have been, a food and drink connoisseur. Up until my 30s, my parents were in the gourmet food and catering business, serving a very savvy clientele. As a preschooler, I thought caviar and blinis was a typical Sunday afternoon snack. Spending my life sampling gourmet foods, serving hors d’oeuvres at lavish parties and helping plan large scale events has helped shape how I view both food and travel.

After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations, I worked in Public Relations in New York City for three and a half years on a wide variety of brands (primarily beauty). Living in Manhattan opened my eyes to the diverse restaurant culture, varied cuisines, and a desire to experience them all, preferably firsthand!

I have since traveled to many extraordinary food-centric locales such as Boston, Budapest, Charleston, Chicago, London, New Orleans, Prague, Seattle, and Vienna.  After moving back to Florida, I’ve made it my mission to further explore my home state, most notably Palm Beach and Orlando. Throughout these travels, I realized almost all of my planning was focused on finding the best food and drink available in each location.

Yes, there are a lot of food blogs. Yes, there are a lot of travel blogs. What I hope you find intriguing about my stories are a modern take on restaurant/bar reviews coupled with itinerary-based travel guides that target anyone with an adventurous palate. It is a practical, resourceful alternative to the classic food and travel blog with interactive maps for neighborhoods within cities, packing and planning tips, and more.

And so my Adventures in Gourmet have begun, and I hope you will come along for the ride!
